The Bond
I have a friend who is also a brother
And our relationship is like no other.
The bond we share is wonderful and grand,
But no outsider will ever understand.
His trust I will always cherish and keep
And we can relate without having to speak.
His hand outstretched, his grip is strong
And I know in my heart we really belong.
Even though we don't always agree,
There is still a bond between him and me.
And when I have problems I want to share,
He will always be there and care.
His love for me is enduring and strong
even when the good times are gone.
Our friendship is eternal and strong
And for these I am very glad-I belong!
I have tried to explain all this to others
But have never succeded except with Brothers.
Those who have never touched Masonic lace,
Will ever understand the ideals we embrace.
